* Herman Cain jumps in the boat with Clarence Thomas … says both are victims of false sexual harassment claims targeting blacks … thus proving Cain is even less politically sophisticated than previously imagined … the man shows none of the skills needed to be President

UDATE (11/3/11)

Herman Cain lashed out at rival Rick Perry on Wednesday, accusing the Texas governor’s campaign of orchestrating the original report about allegations of sexually inappropriate behavior.

LMW … So what?!? Are accusations true or not?

UPDATE (11/1/11)

Herman Cain says …

“She was in my office one day, and I made a gesture saying — and I was standing close to her — and I made a gesture saying you are the same height as my wife.  And I brought my hand up to my chin saying, ‘My wife comes up to my chin.'”  At that point, Cain gestured with his flattened palm near his chin.  “And that was put in there [the complaint] as something that made her uncomfortable,” Cain said, “something that was in the sexual harassment charge.”

LMW Comment …

That sounds innocent enough. BUT … if that’s all that happened, why did the Restaurant Association pay a 5 figure settlement (> $10,000) to make the woman go away and keep quite? I’ll bet there’s a lot more to this story, and Mr. Cain is in big trouble.

Michelle Goldberg writes for The Daily Beast (10/31/11) …

  • In May, Herman Cain told the Washington Examiner’s Byron York that liberals were going to target him because he was black.
  • “They’re going to come after me more viciously than they would a white candidate,” he said, continuing, “And so,

to use Clarence Thomas as an example,

I’m ready for the same high-tech lynching that he went through

  • Yesterday, Politico broke a storyabout past charges of sexual harassment against the GOP frontrunner. “During Herman Cain’s tenure as the head of the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s, at least two female employees complained to colleagues and senior association officials about inappropriate behavior by Cain, ultimately leaving their jobs at the trade group, multiple sources confirm to POLITICO,” the piece began.
  • The restaurant group ultimately settled with the women, who took five-figure payouts and signed nondisclosure agreements.
