* how unprepared and foolish can Sarah Palin get?

Posted by Lew Weinstein on October 2, 2008

NBC/NJ’s Matthew E. Berger writes …

  • Besides Roe v. Wade, Palin appeared unable to name a US Supreme Court decision she disagreed with (other than Roe v Wade) in her latest interview with Katie Couric.
  • “Well, let’s see,” Palin said. “There’s, of course, in the great history of America rulings there have been rulings, that’s never going to be absolute consensus by every American. And there are, those issues, again, like Roe v Wade where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So you know, going through the history of America, there would be others.”
  • Palin was then interrupted by Couric, who asked if she could think of any.
  • “Well, I could think of, of any again, that could be best dealt with on a more local level,” Palin continued. “Maybe I would take issue with. But you know, as mayor, and then as governor and even as a Vice President, if I’m so privileged to serve, wouldn’t be in a position of changing those things but in supporting the law of the land as it reads today.”

LMW COMMENT: It’s hard to imagine Sarah Palin looking more foolish and unprepared, but each day seems to bring more examples. John McCain’s first major decision seems more and more flawed every day, and the poll results reflect it.
