* LMW: Obama acts in a bi-partisan manner; McCain sulks

Carl Hulse writes in today’s NYT article on last night’s Senate session …

  • Senator Barack Obama walked to the Republican side of the aisle to greet Senator John McCain
  • McCain offered a chilly look and a brief return handshake.
  • Mr. McCain did not make remarks on the legislation.
  • Mr. Obama, in his speech, said the bailout plan was regrettable but necessary

LMW COMMENT: The difference in behavior between Barack Obama and John McCain is striking. Which approach do you think is likely to lead to bi-partisan accomplishments in the next administration? I think this is a powerful image to convey to undecided voters.
