* McCain demeans Palin

Posted by Lew Weinstein on September 19, 2008

Maureen Dowd wrote yesterday in the NYT …

  • The Wall Street Journal reported that McCain was thinking about taking Palin to the U.N. General Assembly next week so she can shake hands with some heads of state.
  • You can’t contract foreign policy experience like a rhinovirus.

This report says more about McCain’s attitude toward his VP partner (and toward women?) than it does about Palin’s total lack of foreign policy experience.

Does he really think that having Palin tag along with him and saying hello to a few foreigners has any value whatever in training his inexperienced VP choice?

That’s not only insulting to the voters, it’s demeaning to Palin.

There! If any of you think I never defend Sarah Palin, I have now done it.
