POLITICAL observations & opinions

* Okay, I won’t say it.

David Kirkpatrick writes in today’s NYT …

  • The choice of Sarah Palin as Mr. McCain’s running mate had clinched it for one voter, who said. “She is anti-abortion, anti-gay-marriage, anti-Big Oil, a lifetime member of the N.R.A., she hunts, she fishes — she is the perfect woman!”

The rising tide of the McCain-Palin polls suggests that there are many voters who share the opinion of the Scranton voter quoted above.

The pundits on TV are saying how bad it is politically to say that voters who ignore the fact that Sarah Palin is grotesquely unprepared to be President are less intelligent than those of us who are not willing to select her solely on the basis of her radical rightwing Christian conservative beliefs and outdoor life style.

So I won’t say it. I’ll let you judge for yourself.
